A Message from the President
Warm summer greetings!
I am pleased to inform you that the occupancy levels of the Club have been on steady rise these past months. What is even more gratifying is the rather high percentage of room bookings on the weekends before and after Holy Week, as well as, on the long weekends like the recent Labor Day weekend.
I wish to commend management, particularly, our General Manager, Mr. Anthony de Leon, and Sales Manager, Ms. Terry Sy,, for filling up the rooms and cottages of the Club and for sealing the contracts on conventions, wedding banquets and other events through an aggressive sales effort.
I am especially proud to report to you that the recently renovated “William Cameron Forbes Ballroom” has become the much-sought-after venue for formal social functions while the Roof Deck has become very popular to those who just love the great outdoors and the majestic view the cordillera mountain ranges. I have asked Mr. De Leon to acquire outdoor heaters to be used in the Multi Purpose Hall, the Roof Deck and the Swimming Pool areas as well as other outdoor events at the Club so that these outdoor venues can remain friendly even during the cold months.
I am also pleased to report to you that the Club has acquired a couple of brand new golf carts for the use of senior golfers who will be shuttled up and down the steep portions of the golf course. This is your Club’s way of responding to the comment that the seniors are not able to play our rolling course because we do not have golf carts. Hopefully too, the cart service will determine the best location for the cart paths at the Club course.
I have been elected for a second term as Director of the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) which is an honor for me as well as the Club. I , therefore , thank the members of the Association for their trust and confidence in me and in the Baguio Country Club
Finally, I would like to encourage every member to fully utilize his or her ten (10) Complimentary Room Night Certificates by visiting the Club or sponsoring guests. You will also be assisting your Club immensely by asking your business associates to hold their conventions, planning sessions and other business-related events at the Club.
